Hello,
Could someone provide detailed and safe upgrade steps for upgrading a Network Application from version 7.2 (or 7.4) to version 8.0 on a locally hosted Windows server?
Previously, the release notes specified which versions were safe to upgrade from, but this information is now omitted. Is it safe to directly upgrade from v7.2 to v8 on Windows Server 2016?
The upgrade requires MongoDB 3.6 (up to 4.4) and Java 17. Currently, I have Java 8 installed as required for v7.2. Should I upgrade to Java 17 first before upgrading the Network Application to v8? Additionally, do I need to manually upgrade MongoDB before proceeding with the Network Application upgrade?
Need For Help;
- Safe Upgrade Path; Is it safe to directly upgrade from v7.2 (or v7.4) to v8 on Windows Server 2016?
- Java Upgrade; Should Java be upgraded to version 17 before upgrading the Network Application?
- MongoDB Upgrade; Is a manual upgrade of MongoDB required before upgrading the Network Application?
Iām following this document https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/8.0/vsphere-vcenter-upgrade/GUID-30485437-B107-42EC-A0A8-A03334CFC825-learn-ror
Your detailed guidance on this process would be greatly appreciated.
